The Fun Stuff

Book Club

Love reading? Maybe you don't love reading but want to explore awesome books, relatable themes, and memorable stories in a community of sweethearts?

I am forever recommending books, sharing quotes, and using metaphors with my clients as a way to reach greater understanding. You know how sometimes you come across a passage and the words hit in a different way? And maybe, even for that moment in time, they make you feel a little more seen or understood? Ditto. That's why I love books; there's something so humanising about learning about yourself through understanding someone else's world.

So, this is why I created the Hi Beautiful Book club. Here, we explore words and let story and community warm our days! This isn't a recovery group, but we do explore relatable life themes. If it's relevant to the text, sometimes we might discuss ED-related topics, or we may connect with character or recovery experiences. All books are chosen with intention and consideration, and discussions are led by yours truly and explored in a supportive and projective manner. The book club is run monthly, and in each meeting, the book for the next month is released!
